Largest ever bash being organized for Taiwan's homeless

Three charity organizations are jointly organizing the largest party ever held for the homeless in Taiwan to bring them the warmth of society during a cold-weather period, the Zenan Homeless Social Welfare Foundation said Sunday. The foundation, along with the Genesis and Huashan social welfare foundations, has organized a lunch with 2,000 tables for the homeless and senior citizens living alone in Taipei on January 26, a Zenan spokesman said. The three charities will also sponsor feasts of 500 tables for the homeless and lonely seniors in other cities around Taiwan on the same day, the spokesman said. For the Taipei feast, a food company has sought the help of six caterers to feed the 20,000 homeless and elderly who are expected to turn out, and will enlist 100 workers to serve the guests...
